The brand’s personality is seen as eclectic, contemporary, and romantic. They very clearly depict their country of origin; Italy amongst their identity, evoking feelings amongst customers that Gucci products represent the finest of Italian craftsmanship. As visitors first enter the office you will be welcomed with feelings of family, the warmth’s of leather and a node to Italian landscapes. Truly showcasing how the brands history impacts their growth and desire for bravado.

As you explore the design plan, I wanted to take both employees and visitors on an adventure to the Italian country side, showcasing the fine balance of whimsicality and edgy design.

Concept & Why

When designing the Floor Plan for Gucci’s newest head office in
Vancouver’s desirable Coal Harbor. The Primary objective was the create a design that cultivated inspiration and encouraged employees to continuously be daring and think outside of the box. To achieve this, rather than having straight lines and build within the perfect square of the site I chose to celebrate organic shapes and bring in numerous circular spaces to help break free of the traditional office plan. Gucci’s mantra is to foster collaboration and unit the workspace. Today it is common to see a hybrid style of work throughout the corporate world.
