The primary objective of the renovation and design was to provide the family with a concept that was unexpected and bold but still timeless. We took inspiration from Beach lifestyle but with a modern twist. Natural materials were used to give the home a lived-in and relaxed feel. To compliment the organic materials we also introduced several pops of colours that we are so fortunate to be surrounded by in the West Coast.

When designing the California inspired home the main objective for the design is to create the warmth of sunny California in every room.

When designing the families apartment it was our primary goal of the renovation to create an entertainers dream oasis that would transport visitors to the warm beaches of California. From the moment you open the front door and walk into the entry way you can immediately feel the sun cascading onto your cheeks.

The two bedroom, one bathroom unit is just over 1,100 sq-ft full of personalty. The biggest design feature are three oval ceiling details that mimic the California Sun.

To embody the west coast mentality throughout the design a mixture of modern and organic materials was used to emphasize textures and help create a warm environment.
