CONCEPT & WHY
The Lobby
The Lobby is fundamentally one of the most critical parts of the hotel. It is the the first impression when guests enter. The Lobby takes inspiration from the stunning mountain tops in British Colombia. The colour scheme monochromatic with hints of organic wood materials to showcase the mighty pines that line the mountain slopes. Due to the colour way being monochromatic, textures will be heavily used as well as several different materials to keep the space interesting and unique. To keep the Lobby cohesive plants with be used to bring the space alive.
CONCEPT & WHY
The Lounge
To keep the lounge feeling cohesive live plants are used throughout the design including the booth seating.
Fun and cheeky phrases can also be viewed throughout the Lounge to help initiate conversation and keep the atmosphere light.
Retail
The layout
As a part of THE PACIFIC, the retail space will illustrate the immersive experience of traveling to Bowen Island. The custom millwork showcases a waved liked shape to mirror the wake created as you travel by boat through the Pacific ocean.
Concept & Why
The Retail
Sangre de fruta are Botanical skin, hair and body products made off the West Coast of British Columbia on Bowen Island. Sangre de Fruta’s exceptional organic products to show that quality botanicals, rituals and indulging the senses are foundational elements for true self-care, respect for other souls, and a deeper appreciation for the quiet power of the natural world.
